Why not keep the curent standard wiring for the same 4 center pins on the 6
pin connector? Put the 5 volts on one of the outside 2 pins. Then, that
power supply need only have one type connector (the 6 pin MTA). The 4 pin
connectors could still attach with an unused pin sticking up on either side
of the 4 pin connector. If I am not mistaken about the pin spacing and
size, it looks as if the 4 pin cable could still easily plug on to the 6 pin
connector if you wanted to have only one style connector on the new PS.
