a) Hoorah! Definately looking forward to this. Time for the preamp soon? <grin, run away>

b) Neat, I suppose? I wasn't exactly sure what it was doing. I wouldn't exactly put this high on the priority list, what with the 500 series coming, and that preamp, and all... <bigger grin>

e) I'm a little confused (gee, is that surprising?). Do you mean that the cutoff date for ANY pre-Christmas orders is Oct 15th? Or just the 500s?

Just to hack on the preamp idea a little longer... Paul, you gave some prelim specs a while back, and said that it was to be a guitar preamp first and a line-level preamp second, and definately NOT a mic preamp. Is there any technical reason that a (non-phantom-powered) mic COULDN'T be plugged in? Do mics need even more gain than guitars? (Yes, I know, I'm harping on the subject. I'm just getting tired of lugging around a mixer just to get some mic signals into the MOTM. And while I'm at it, if the preamp could use used for mics, can you make it 1 line-amp and 2 guitar / mic amps, since I assume you could use a guitar amp for line levels anyway...)

a) I am working this week on the new MOTM-190 Dual VCA/RM.

b) ...along with a ∗potential∗ new module based on the Craig Anderton PWM Multiplier. It's not a
dramatic effect, and certainly a "next year" type of thing. Have a listen and tell me what you
think.

e) NAMM. Even though it's in mid-Jan. I have to start thinking about it now. Basically, what
stuff to show. This means the 500 Series, so I have to start on THOSE starting in Sept. Just as a
bit of warning (this is like the movie trailer I saw tonight for some comic-book hero move
"DareDevil" or some such, proudly proclaiming "March 2003!"), if you want to receive modules by
Christmas, you had better start saving now. The "cutoff date" will most likely be Oct 15th.
Certainly, you can order past then, but there is a higher than zero chance of not seeing them
until late Jan.
