The 440 filter does have VC resonance.

I have a -420 and a -440, and I just got the HappyEmail from Paul saying
that my -410 kit is on the way. Of the two that I have, the -420is a little
more flexible because of its three modes (lowpass, highpass, notch), but I
find the sound of the -440 more pleasing.

Neither of the filters I mentioned havevoltage-controlled resonance. If you
want to "liven up VA synth sounds" you'd probablyprefer the -440 or the new
-490, since they're four-pole lowpass filterssimilar to those found on many
"classic"analog synths.
