Well, I surely don't want to start Doepfer bashing again (so tired of it),
but someone sent me the schemos of the module in question, and it
looks like a blatant copy of my Interpolating Scanner's control circuit
(∗except∗ it's stripped of everything that meant precision). But it's not
just a borrowed _idea_, it's really the texture of the circuit.
I'm perfectly aware that my circuit was not protected, and that I would
have no legal means against Doepfer, and I ∗really∗ won't go over all this
here again.
I still hope that Paul will offer an "official" version of the Interpolating
Scanner some day, where the user gets the quality of the original, and
where I get my share, too. It is one of my favorite circuits, after all, and
the Dopeferisation hurts on that one in particular.
But again, I don't want to fall back into bashing mode again (the recent TGS
threads show how ugly it can be), so this will be my only mail on this subject
for now.
