cool Ideas Tom, glad to see others are always thinking of new module ideas..     THe vocal filter, I think Pauls fixed filter bank will get you most of the way there, abeit withought a knob to change from one vowel to another..

Interpolating scanner, interpolating scanner!!   woo hoo!!!     Ive drooled over this one for years...

I like the idea of an open DSP module with maybe 8 knobs and 8 jacks, or 4 knobs and an LCD display (backlit of course : ) and a few ∗gasp!∗ menu buttons..    knobs and jacks assignable to whatever the particular program called for..    And Eldharts idea of a multi module with say 5 programs burned in and thats all: osc, amp, mixer etc. is pretty damn cool..     I couldnt write any of the algos though so I cant really push for this, and I guess getting a high enough resolution for MOTM spec audio I/O might make it a bit pricey ontop of what it would already cost...   Its one of those "If I won the lottery" ideas...  along with getting runs of chips manufactured and cool stuff like that...  (surface mount poly modular in a suticase)

the mechanical ribbon is a cool idea also..   the trick would be getting a low enough mass for all the moving parts..  while keeping it durable..  the resolution sounds great though..  I guess though its a bit less versatile than a true electronic ribbon.  maybe with a bit of programming..  i dunno..
