Subject: [motm] MOTM strange curiosities

Even though there is no advantage sound-wise, I was just wondering
technically why only the oscillator pulse and triangle waves can be used to
hardsync another oscillator to. The sawtooth and sine don't work for that
purpose. How does the sync input know the difference?

I also found it amusing that I can run audio through the MOTM filters or VCA,
not by going through an audio input, but by going through an FM input. I
haven't bothered to look at the schematics, but I doubt that the audio is
actually passing through. Perhaps it's causing the filters or amp to become
a sound source itself. Is that what's happening?
