Subject: Stooge panel progress

I have been quiet for a couple of weeks because between the demands of my
day gig, and cleaning up here after the flood, and trying to get caught up
on mowing, I have been unable to find my ass looking around from either
direction. Oh, did I mention my oldest son is getting married the 15th. :)
I'll be out of town for a few days before that.

Here is what I can report:

1. Panel plans are well underway albeit a few days later than I would have
liked. I will adjust the schedule on my website soon.

2. I have not sent out invoices yet. Soon, I promise. You can check me for
errors and report.

3. New products:

SKB backs - The stinkin' powdercoat place "lost" my prototype. I have some
stuff written down, but I will be tweaking them some to be 100% certain they
fit perfectly. So, some delay. I am just "guessing" on the UPS shipping
for those. I promise to get close and we can settle up on the difference
afterwards. What I learn from this will help me know what to charge in the
future. SKB case backs will become an in-stock Stooge product much as flat
rails and end caps are today.

End caps - for those of you that ordered end caps last time that didn't fit.
I am planning to order up end caps this time without holes. Then, the holes
can be placed exactly where they need to be. Here's the deal. They are the
same price as the ones without holes and you drill yourself. OR, once they
come in and are ready for shipment, you give me the side-to-side location
and I will drill them for you. Add $1 each cap for custom drilling. So, if
you want them, please add them to your current order (plain or logo).

Synth.com cabinet fittings:
A list member is sending me his Synth.com cabinet. I plan to fit it with
flat rails and end caps, so it is 100% ready to just screw in MOTM modules.
Calculations tell me I will need a special sized plain end cap that is 1/2
inch wide instead of 3/4 for the right cheek. So, the plan for the cabinets
would them be 26U of MOTM per row, with a 3/4" normal end cap on one end
(plain or logo) and a 1/2 inch cap on the other side. These caps are not
needed, but as on the rack rails are appearance enhancing items. 9 flat
rails will be required per 26U row. Flat rail trimming is required. But,
what I learn from this will allow me to offer a standard set of items
required for the MOTM retrofit that will be fit tested for those that want
to use the nice Synth.com cabinets. If there is sufficient interest, I will
stock the 1/2 inch caps. Right now, since I need only 5 they are hand cut
one-offs.

My personal cabinet has not been touched since it came home. I promise to
send out all invoices before I do anything with it.

Later,
Stooge Larry
