PURTWEE = Pseudo-Random Tone Wheel

no relation to the movie Deliverance ;)

from Electronotes #104 & #106

The "heart" of the device is a Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence generator (a 24
stage shift register w/exclusive-or feedback) and the "soul" of the device
is a tone wheel (a recirculating 8 stage shift register with various options
for changing the sequence on the shift register).

The changes are under pseudo-random control, and the user has control over
the probability that a change will occur via voltage control.

Yee Ha.
