Hello All -

First, let me say that the MP3s really don't do the thing justice.
It goes from cozy warm to biting your head off in a twist of a
knob. Bouncy boingy fun! Birdies everywhere!

As to the noise factor: this is an MOTM quality module, 'nuff said.

The experience I have with ladder filters is that they seem one-
dimensional and hissy. I really didn't see what all the fuss was
about. Not so the 490! Note that I have never played with a real
modular Moog filter, but the timbres that come out of the 490
compare (to my ears) with many of Wendy Carlos'.

Larry said it best: this is a 'must have'. I suspect that behind
the 800, this will (justifiably) be the best seller.

AWESOME work, Paul.

Mike

PS - The really horrible thing is that I have to send it back
tomorrow. Whimper.
