Subject: Another MOTM-450 layout idea

From: "strohs56k" <strohs@...>

So - I don't actually own any MOTM products or for that matter any
modular synthesizer products. (I do hope to start building one soon -
and having something of an electronics hobby, the MOTM system seems
the most appealing.) I normally just lurk reading the message group
but this discussion of the 450 panel layout has motivated me to
actually post something :)

I know the first thing you guys will all think is "sure, that looks
cool - but it can't work!" Because the "band" pots are intended to
mount on PCBs that run vertically behind the module. But actually, I
think it could work - you just need to mount the two PCBs on a
diagonal. So, one PCB is attached to the 250, 500, 1000, 2000 band
and the component side of that board faces to the left and up (toward
the base of the attached pots) and the other PCB attaches to the 350,
700, 1400, 2800 band and the component side of that board faces to the
right and down (again, toward the base of the attached pots.) The
only "floating" pots are the "lopass" and "hipass" bands - these would
need to attach by short jumper wires.

I seem to remember somebody suggesting an extra (summing) input jack
for some reason? So I just threw that on and a multiple out because
it made the panel look nice and symmetrical. :)
