I've been inspired by Thomas White's joystick designs to try and put
together something along the same lines for my own system.

Unfortunately, it's nigh on impossible to source an affordable joystick
here in the UK. Tom's source for cheap joysticks, MECI.com, will only
ship internationally for orders in excess of $50 which equates to about
30 joysticks... The minimum order in the US is $20 (i.e. about 12
joysticks together with the associated aluminium handle)

Would anyone in the US who is perhaps similarly inspired to put together
a joystick controller (and ideally with a PayPal account for ease of
payment) be willing to submit an order to MECI.com and send some
joysticks over to me here in the UK?
