"If I can manage it, I'll make a single digital board work for
all designs, and design a couple of analog boards that take into
consideration the straightline 8x1 large form factor vs. the 4x2
small form factor. "

hello all,
i really love the idea of the 8U sequencer design - and i think moe's idea
quoted above is magical
i couple of mechanical issues i'd like to see:

1) the switches remain where they are - if they go on the top row then quite
a few of us will have mounting problems

2) if the pcbs could be designed to fit flush with the panel ala encore UEG
then this would make the unit fit in a really nifty desktop case - i
personally think this option far outweighs the trade off of having to drill
holes for mounting pillars

3) in which case, could 8U turn into 9U and all the bottom row of pots shift
over to the left hand side..? (ducking for this one) it kind of loses the
intuitive layout though,

4) oh yes, and if sufficient LED room could be made for big 8-10mm panel
mounting LEDs, i'm sure many of us will be very very happy - erm, before i
forget, if the panel graphic for the 'set' switches be small enough to
account for sad people like myself using momentary toggle switches

i think that's it
now i'm off to spend the rest of the night de-fraging my F: audio drive

cheers
