Paul has a uVCA coming out as well. I'm not sure of the model number but at NAMM he told me it would be a 1u panel with 2 VCA's in it. Mainly for use with the Micromodular racks the new branch of modules will use, but great for polyphony. The last I heard the dual VCA will be the next 2-space module released. It requires an insane board layout due to the amount of components and the noise requirements of a quality VCA. Paul has the info but the time to design, fab and ship it has yet to come. The micro series will be a great move for Paul because it will take less time to design, kit and assemble (for non-solderers). This should free up time to put together and design the more intense modules like the Dual VCA, VC Phaser, 500 series and Dual Peak Ladder Filter. As it has been proven through time, the good things are worth waiting for. Remember how excited we were about the ladder VCF and it made it out to much happy guys such as you and I. Please hold on, NAMM has inspired my MOTM dreams BIG TIME! Everybody will get what they want by the end of 2002 I think and there is even top secret stuff going on Paul will have to kill me if I talk about ;)

Subject: RE: [motm] VCAs?
The MOTM-130 is not a simpler VCA. It is a higher end dual VCA, with
exponential as well as linear control inputs. It will become the
premium MOTM VCA for use in audio patches.
If you need large numbers of simple VCAs for control purposes, you
could maybe look into the Oakley VCA pcbs. You could fit 3 onto a 2U
panel.
