Those are two products I worked on! The Oasys IO section is very much like a
1212. However the jitter performance is a lot better on the Oasys. People
bitch about the Oasys polyphony but they don't seems to realize the DSPs on
there could make hundreds of "simple" voices or even complex voices that cut
corners like some other DSP based synths. At some point there were very good
demos on the site showing how their oscillators don't alias like the
"competition's." I'm not actually sure who the comp was, because I was gone
by then.
