There is an oms 410 kit? Can someone give
me info? Is there also other kits I am unaware of?
Larry Hendry writes:
Tony Allgood sells some PCBs (not kits) for some modules in the MOTM
format.
He has specifically a OMS-410 which connects to Paul's MOTM-410 to add
some
additional features. The same is true for his newly released OMS-820
which
connects to Paul's MOTM-820 to add some additional features. Tony also
has
other PCBs that others here have built. But, other than selling the
pots
and hard to find parts, Tony does not sell full kits. Here is the link
to
Tony's site:
http://www.oakleysound.com/
If you do build one of Tony's circuits from his PCBs and documentation,
and
you need a MOTM-like front panel, you can get some of them (not all)
from
Stooge panels, Inc. Dave Bradley and I make these panels available for
MOTM
users. You can find information about the panels at:
http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/panel.htm
Tony also recommends a German company for panel fronts that are similar,
to
MOTM in size but not exactly the same finish. But, they do supply
panels
for anything and Dave and I only make a select number of the Oakley
panels.
As far as kits, Todd Faulkner offered to pull together fulll kits but
buying
the parts in bulk and distrobuting them to everyone. He did purchase 23
of
the OMS-410 panel fronts from me. Todd is having some personal
challenges
right now and has been delayed in shipping his kits which everyone
pre-paid
for. I expect Todd will make good on his delivery. I do not expect he
is
still offering this service.
If you are planning to order a 410 PCB from Tony and want a MOTM style
front
panel, we sell them for $16. We print them via custom order every few
months. We are just placing an order right now and I can just squeeze
you
in for one of these if you let me know soon.
I also sell a MOTM companion project PCB and supporting parts not
commonly
available in catalogs. It provides octave anbd interval switching to
accompany the MOTM-300. Unlike Tony's modules that actually connect to
the
MOTM modules. Mine is a stand alone module that works with any 1/volt
per
octave VCO. You can find information about my voltage switcher at:

Let me know if you have additional questions.
