PolyDAC? whats this? specs anyone??
Anyway,
in keeping with the frontally patchable and truly reconfigurable UI of a modular synth (of which MOTM is the undisputed heavyweight champ), I say MIDI connections on the front. In the rear might be neater but that also assumes you have holes in your cabinet for cables and mice to get through.
Unless there are other features that would get bumped because the MIDI jacks took up too much space, Id rather have MIDI jacks on the front. (jacks look cooler than big blank spaces too)
As for a switch for glide, why would we need one if turning the knob to 0 effectively makes glide =0? Why why why? seems totally redundant to me and a waste of money and panel space. Then you have to buy, drill, mount and solder a switch that does the same thing as turning a knob. If you had it configured so that when the glide switch was off, the knob controlled another feature or parameter, this would be OK.. But otherwise.. Why a switch? I'd rather have an LED than a redundant switch.
my 2 cents. (property of VISA)
