Well, after you confised me with that other Stooge, I had to go hide.

Actually, Paul and I were discussing this again over the weekend.

Some of you mat remember we discussed using the bottom two rows left over in
the SKB rack for power supply and some other goodies. So, let's just see
what people think. I'll start out by shraring my thinking and admit right
off the bat that I am fully NOT qualified to lead the discussion, since I
don't do the pop up thing. So, you guys pipe up and tell me I'm full of
stuff. I don't mind. Really....

Here was the intiial thought. Two different panels available 19" rack
standard 2 U high. So, they fit in the left over part of the SKB pop up
after you fill two rows with modules.

Panel # 1, has the power supply. Same supply used in the MOTM-900. It has a
power connector in back for modules, just like the current MOTM-900.
However, it also connects to a 4 conductor "speak on" connector that is
wired for power supply connection to the next cabinet. Then the left over
space has multiples.
So the front is power switch, power cord, external cabinet power connector,
and a group of multiples.

Panel # 2 is for the cabinet without a power supply. It has the speak on
connector to get power from the other cabinet. It also has a grouping of
multiples and has room for one standard MOTM module sideways. Now, I
thought the utility module that everyone would want / need would be the
mixer. It woudl be the exact same layout as the current mixer. The basic
difference is the screen is sideways so everything reads right. The panel
coudl come with or without the mixer electronics and such. so, if you
already had a mixer, you could unbolt it from the standard panel, turn it
sideways and bolt it right to the 19" rack panel.

OK. Those are my stupid ideas. You guys come up with something better.
And hurry up. Paul wants it for NAMM. :)
