1) clip out old part, as close to the body as possible.
2) apply iron to pad/lead poking out. Snatch lead out with pliers.
3) use solder wick to remove solder from hole
4) bend resistor leads, clip off below bend radius (not TOO close)
5) insert part. solder lightly to top pads
