Subject: More screened panels - starting a waiting list

Well, of course, I knew it was coming. I just didn't think it would be so
soon.

The demand for Stooge panels last time was overwhelming. In fact, almost
too big. Dave and I are already planning our next round. Why? Because
even after we ran out, people have been asking for more. My last drilled
box ships Monday and I can't hardly believe we are ready to start the
process again. The key is to have the order large enough to make the
economics right, and small enough so it is manageable.

Now, last time we did this, the time between order and delivery was WAY too
long. So, I have figured out a way to fix that. I will have sufficient
metal ordered and painted before I ask you for your order. So, I am getting
ready soon to order some metal. I am planning to order so many 1U blanks,
so many 2U blanks and so many just the right size for end caps.

To help me get the right balance, it would be nice to have a "waiting list".
That way, we are sure to order enough stuff for everyone. Here is what I am
thinking schedule wise.

E-mail me anytime with your "wants (from existing available panels only).
I'll put you on the waiting list.
I will be ordering metal in the next week or two for delivery in mid to late
October.
Then, the metal goes to the painter. I will get it back from him sometime
in November.

While I have the panels getting painted, I will ask you for orders
(November) I will try to have the right amount of metal based on
anticipated demand. Hopefully, your payments and painted metal will reach
me in time to support printing and delivery before the end of the year.

Now, I am sure there are people interested in new designs. If you have any
interest in a new design, you can mail that directly to Dave Bradley. Dave
does all the artwork and he makes all the decisions on what will be
produced. I know that some of you may want panels that we choose not to
make. All I can say is that is just the way it is -- sorry.

Now, if there is not sufficient interest at this time (i.e. the waiting list
is very short) we will postpone production of more Stooge panels until
interest has grown. Those who have replied about end caps. They will be
done at the same time with this next panel order.

So really, it is up to you. If you are ready for more panels now, we will
do it. If not, we will when you are ready.
