In other words, "Hey Barlow! Shut up about the sequencer and tell us the
interesting bit about a Subotnick DVD!"
It's called "Subotnick: Electronic Works 1"
It's on the world famous Mode records label (?) www.mode.com and features
surround sound audio (only) of "Touch," "A Sky of Cloudless Sulphur," and
"Gestures." It also comes with a CD ROM of "Gestures" (a new interactive
piece) and the other side of the DVD is DVD audio of the same program (which
won't play in my DVD player). There is also a nice long interview with
Subotnick with John Schaefer as well as with Joan La Barbara and others.
Nice to hear "Touch" in surround, as it was originally meant to be quad.
Thanks for the EM CD link Ken, maybe I can find that Pierre Henry CD yet!
