Hello!

You mean, you like to reach between the cables and
plugs to adjust all of you knobs and switches? I know
synthesizers.com is your favorite by your tone, but
you should really think about the apparent layout
before blurting out ".com is king". At least the MOTM
standards are cables on bottom, adjustables on top(
just like Wiard. Rogers layouts are very random and
seem only to follow each modules individual needs.
Fine, but you end up with a Doepfer like mess trying
to reach between all the cables to turn one knob and
in the process turn 2 others. Nightmare

Obviously I prefer the Wiard and MOTM way so that one
thing is one place and one is another. I hold no
bitterness towards any synth.com owners as I own all
modular equipment including synth.com (soon anyway)
The sequencer was designed by a MOTM owner, not Paul
Schreiber/Synthtech and is only a trial at fitting all
of the included featues on one panel. For the same
amount of space as Roger's (Basically) this fake
sequencer has many more features and... step switches.
I don't see anyone trying to help Roger or give
valuable example based feedback as this fake sequencer
does. Not saying that Roger is looking but you are his
customers right? Now before making such an important
module Paul will be able to sit and review all of the
needs and lack thereof before designing any MOTM
sequencer.

I am thankful that someone on the MOTM list takes the
extra time to do this type of thing, and not simply
shoot down all new modules outside of the realm of
comfort(being used to one modulars way of things).
Dave B, Larry H and others involved in MOTM have all
contributed dreams/real word experience about what
could be. Take a look at the rest of Dave's site and
see for yourself. Very admirable.

Sure you love your .com stuff, but understand that we
are for the most part coming from a "kit/DIY"
background and thinking about the extended design and
applications only comes with the hot iron and smell of
melted tin/lead. Sure there are pre-built MOTM modules
but roughly 90% of Paul's business is kits. His layout
and features are all debated and reviewed by the
customers on the list. Before the first module came
out there were debates about the whole package and
concept with the OG purchasers from A-Heaven. I didn't
get onboard till 99 so I am customer #93 but I have
seen the development and release of about 8 modules
along with the other DIY frenzies that get started on
the user side.

I only hope that someday guys can say, damn thats a
cool idea! or wow, thats a cool thing for any true
modular enthusiast. All of us who get locked into one
manufacturers view when we have a lot to gain from
looking at the whole 1V/Oct kit and kaboodle. I don't
want any one format to be accepted as nice as it may
be in thought. Then things would really get stagnant.
We are all winners as modular owners and some of us
should realize how much we could gain as customers
based around this 1V/Oct standard if only we could
break down the "Manufacturer" wall and get down to the
"Patching" and not the "Patch Cables" I hope I can
contribute to the modular realm like these "Idea men"
someday, much respect to Dave and all of the list
members who look into yesterdays early analog realm
for adventure and entertainment! Maybe someday we'll
have a modular @yahoogroups.com list and be able to
out aside these silly "Roger/Paul/Grant is best!" All
of these guys are the best for taking their dreams and
making them into a reality we can purchase, own and
play with.
