Subject: FW: [motm] keyboard question

I'm using an Encore Expressionist as well. When working, I use a Kurzweil
K2000VP as a master keyboard, but when testing, I sometimes haul out an old
Korg Poly-800 (it's not velocity sensitive so I can get constant outputs
there, and is easier to move to the workbench for calibrating VCOs, etc.). I
notice no lag or response problems with either.

Subject: [motm] keyboard question

Hi group,
I don't know very much about MIDI, but i'm using a Hammond xk-2(b-3
clone)and find it to be unsatisfactory. As my controler, it runs into
an expressionist for the CV, but it seems kind of slugish. It seems
like there is some sort of delay in the signal. I have to keep my
playing very deliberate, pressing the keys down hard and simple. What
I mean by all that, is that it isn't very sensitive. It sucks as a
performance instrument used to control my MOTM. Is it the conversion,
or that I have two independent CVs out? Is there a better keyboard
for the Expressionist? Or is it to be expected?

Thanks,
Joseph Casbarian
