Subject: Tannerin kit update

For those interested, I plan to build one of these kits and try it out with
my MOTM.
I have the jpeg of the wood kit part I will send via private e-mail to
those who are interested.

Those of you who are interested, thank you for your patience.

I am a couple of days away from finishing the prototype, (early jpg
attached). After this, I will build a second prototype simply for the
purpose of documenting construction in order to develop some
instructions. I expect it to take a couple of weeks minimum to build the
second prototype, with the instructions being developed simultaneously.

At this point, the kit will consist of a handful of hard to find parts
and some very specialized fabrications. The instructions will include
the remaining parts list with easy to find parts at Radio Shack and the
hardware store. If you are interested in starting the woodwork ahead of
time, I will do those plans first. Total cost for finished product
should be under $150.00; I won't know the exact amount until I build the
second prototype.

The tone is a beautifully clear, slippery smooth sine wave. The
"keyboard" can be configured by turning an interior pot for between two
and four octaves. It is about the most linear keyboard I've come upon
yet. It should not be difficult to add a dc control voltage out jack.
Adding one pot would make that voltage variable, so the "keyboard" could
match an external VCO and control it logarithmically.

The design appears to meet my goal of being bulletproof to construct, of
course, as long as the builder has the skills and equipment and can
follow instructions.

My next email should be when the instructions and parts list are ready.
