Subject: OT: Great Reverb Cheap

From: alt-mode <alt_mode@...>

The list has been quiet lately, so I thought I'd pass on a great bargin that might
be of interest. At my local Guitar Center today, I picked up a Roland SRV-3030
digital reverb for $250. This is a $900 digital reverb unit that Roland has
discontinued. Most places are blowing these out for less than $300. This is a
dedicated 1U Reverb that sounds very good, much smoother than lots of multi-FX
reverbs. There is also a SRV-3030D with digital inputs and outputs. Not that it is
worth much, but Keyboard Magazine gave it a "Key Buy" award. So, if you want a
dedicated reverb to add to your studio, now might be the time to grab one of these.
I've been very impressed with the sound, just playing with it for a few minutes.

Also, if you ever wanted to get an Alesis product (other than an Andromeda), now is
also a good time to pick them up. Most of the old Alesis stock is being blow out by
the retailers with the Chapter 11 filing from Alesis. (I'm waiting for the price to
drop on the Studio 12R mixers - great rack mount submixers currently running about
$350).

Sorry for the lack of MOTM content... I'll have some possibly interesting MOTM
content to share in a few weeks, I hope...

Eric
