I think you are ALWAYS building (puttin' together) a modular system. It is
like buying an old house to renovate. Sure, you may live in it, but you
never get completely finished remodeling. In my opinion, the break point
you describe comes on the day when you first use your modular in a real
musical project (whatever that individually means to each person).

Of course, until you finish the JLH-822, you are still "puttin' together."

'bout it...

h3y all,
there's somethin' i've been thinkin' 'bout off an' on for the last
couple of months. at what point does one stop considerin' themselves
puttin' together a modular system an' actually ∗ownin'∗ a modular
system?
i have a 40U cab that is 4U shy of bein' filled. this doesn't
include the oakley/blacet/jlh modules i haven't bothered assemblin'
as of yet. at this point i still consider myself to be puttin'
together a modular system. i think once cab 1 is full an' i start on
cab 2, i'll probably consider myself as ownin' a modular.
any thoughts? i am kinda curious 'bout this...
have a good one, all...
peace,
doc
