Subject: [motm] Who wants to buy Moog pointer knobs?

OK people, here's the story. There are a couple of people, one of them being
me, who need to buy some Moog style 1-1/8" pointer knobs for rotary switches,
and also possibly some regular 1" knobs. This are the same knobs currently
used by Synth.com and Big Briar, and on the original Moog modular and
Minimoog. The company that manufactures them doesn't have any currently in
stock. To get a good price of $1.50 each I need to order 100 pieces for each
style. So I am seeing if there are any people out there who need any of
these, such as pointer knobs for their 831/822 modules, knobs for any
Synth.com DIY modules or products, replacements for broken Moog knobs etc.
The only other way to get these knobs is to pay between $4 to $6 each from a
couple of different places.

So my plan is that if I get enough people who want these knobs I will buy the
100 piece minimums and mail them to those people who want to buy them. So
that would be $1.50 per knob plus about $3 postage (I'll have to see if that
postage is about right). I'm most desperate for pointer knobs (could use
about 20 myself) and if they are the only type others are also want then they
will be the only ones I order. So your job is to e-mail me with how many of
these you want to buy and I will see if I get enough requests to make it
worth while, at which point I'll e-mail you back if it's a go, and you can
mail me a check or other payment and I'll get them ordered.

Note: These knobs will be for 1/4" shafts with a set screw. If somebody
wants a huge number of regular 1" knobs with a D-shaft, I can get those too.
Lead time is about 4 to 6 weeks. Spread the word. I'd like to know what to
do by this weekend if possible.
