It is an input. The LINK system internally adds the audio from OUT 1
to whatever is plugged into LINK, then routes it to OUT 2's final stage
(post-VCA function).

PAN - Audio is in IN 1. CV pans from OUT 1 to OUT 2.
FADE - Audio into IN 1 and IN 2. CV then FADEs from IN 1 to IN 2, audio
output on OUT 2. <hint hint>
GAIN #2 is manual PAN/FADE control, which is added to CV LIN #2 as PAN/FADE
CV.
Oh, forgot to mention: the 2 VCA output stages have "soft clipping" for more
interesting over-drive sounds.
