Thanks Jeff.
Originally, when I finished the first 822 prototype, I figured the 831 would
probably bite the dust. However, while the 822 is more versatile, I find
myself using the 831 a lot more for its "immediate" musical harmonies. They
are really fun to play with when you have 3 or 4 oscillators. However, I
should have included a warning sticker with them that reads, "You will want
more MOTM-300 oscillators once you build this." Before, I was satisfied
with 2 oscillators and a divider on a voice. Now, I'm just not happy unless
I have 3 or 4 oscillators.
Actually, the whole thing came together with subliminal messages. Paul put
some "between the lines" messages in my MOTM-300 instructions for me so I
would design and build the 831. He somehow made me just smart enough to do
it. Then when I wrote the 831 assembly instructions, I included (still
being influenced by his messages in the 300 text) subliminal messages of my
own that say, "Buy more MOTM-300 oscillators."

Hmmmm, actually that should be the 822, not 831 (btw, both great modules -
found them to be much more useful than I originally anticipated).
