Columbus Electronic Musicians will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 8, at
7:00 pm at Capital University.
Demos and discussions, led by Mitch and Todd, will include these cool items:
- Encore Electronics Knobby MIDI controller (to get unheard-of sounds out of
your knobless synths)
- Encore Expressionist 8 Channel MIDI-CV Converter
- Encore Universal Event Generator (UEG)
- Edirol USB 4x4 MIDI interface (and play the results of a stress test)
- FutureRetro Mobius
- New MOTM modular synth modules
- Synthesis Technology MOTM-820 VC Lag Processor (Slew Generator)
- many other new MOTM modules
- Modular synthesis explanation and demonstration (part of an ongoing
series)
The meeting is open to the public. Columbus Electronic Musicians is an
informal group with no dues and no performance pressure. But... we are
looking for ideas and demos for a meeting on April 26.
I'll try to post a map on our site,
http://ourworld.cs.com/columbusemIn the meantime, here are directions to Capital University, 2199 E. Main
Street, in the heart of Bexley.
>From the West:
Take 70E to Bexley exit. That will deadend at Krogers on Main. Turn
Right onto Main. Turn Right onto College (2nd light) and Left onto Mound
(Flashing Light). Turn Right into the first parking lot, come across the
street into the Conservatory Complex (past purple wall with blue theatre
chairs) and turn right down a short hall to a purple door. The electronic
studio is on the right just before that purple door and has a MIDI sign on
it.
>From the East:
Take 70W to the Livingston St. exit. Turn Right onto Livingston. Turn Left
onto College (1st light) and Right onto Mound (Flashing Light). Turn Right
into the first parking lot, come across the street into the Conservatory
Complex (past purple wall with blue theatre chairs) and turn right down a
short hall to a purple door. The electronic studio is on the right just
before that purple door and has a MIDI sign on it.
Please pass this on to your electronic musician friends.
See you there.
Mitch
