I recently purchased $7k of wire, connectors, and patchbays from Redco
Audio and was pleased with their prices and service. Silver TRS Neutriks
were $2.25 each, so expect even less for TS connectors. They carry
most major brands of cabling, including: Belden, Canare, Gepco, Gotham,
Mogami, and their own house brand Redco TGS. The Mogami cabling isn't
available in colors in the single conductor but is in the single pair.
Canare or Gepco might have something appropriate for patch cables.
Spiral shields are a plus when assembling your own connectors, and
highly recommended over braid for ease of assembly. I don't think
there is a need for a braided shield on modular patch cables. Mogami
also makes molded patch cables Mogami part number PP-01, PP-03, PP-06
in 1, 3, and 6 ft lengths respectively. Available colors are red,
yellow, green, blue, and black. The connectors have "color bands"
for further identification.
