Subject: New Oakley module proposals + more

Sorry for the duplication for those of you on the Oakley ML.

This is some info about modules that Tony Allgood might be doing in
the MOTM format. I wish he would have posted this one to both lists.
Excellent stuff IMOVHO.

I am into using switches as opposed to removing resistors on the 410
rather than "permanently" modifying it.

Now if Tony and Larry and Moe can get the FP machine fired up for the
next batch... Perhaps Tony could even sell Stooge FPs???????

And yes, I have several modules on the drawing board (actually a stack
of napkins) so I won't be left out of the Stooge aftermarket
product movement sweeping the globe! I will put out some questionnaires
for features in the next couple of days.

SmallStone <- lots of requests
WalshBank Filter
MIDI-CV Converters (see below)
MOTM-410 companion module
MOTM-820 companion module

The last two, I have been thinking about for the last couple of months.
I was inspired by the little Oscillator companion module for Roger
Arrick's Synth.com VCO.

So the idea is to have individual VC inputs for
the three Vactrol elements in the 410. The 410's VC-LFO outputs
available separately, and a stereo output of the three filters. You will
need a 410 to use this module, and you will have to remove some
resistors, but no track cuts or anything else.

The 820 companion, will
allow you to create a VC-LFO from it with variable waveshape and sync to
another LFO. Single or multiple shot outputs too. Again, you will need
an 820 to make the best use of this module. No track cuts or resistor
changes I think.

Both modules will take the form of 1U and will need to
sit next to the 'mother' module. The two will be connected by a 0.1"
Molex connector.

While this is going on... er, I will try to get a WalshBank set up and
ready to demo. but this is biggy and will take a lot of time and money
to get together so I want to spread the burden of time over a longer
period.

I still hope to get the MIDIDAC-2 and TB-DAC MIDI-CV convertors
done by April. The first has actually been done and is ready to go to
the PCB shop.

Oh and Paul gives his blessing. :-)
