I used a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol to clean out the jacks
but they were pretty clean on their own. I do think my cables are
stereo, but I am unsure as to how to tell exactly? The cleaning of
the jacks made no difference. I noticed upomn opening it up that most
of the jacks have two contact prongs that touch the plug, however
both the stereo out and snare/rim have three. I don't get it. The
snare/rim can not be heard when the jack reaches the third prong,
only when touching the first and second. And still no sound from them
out of the stereo or mix jacks. I maybe need to have a professional
see this?
