No, it is not exhausting the PSU. These days we
have different eproms with low power consumtion, they contain the "C" in their
name (27C512 instead of 27512 for example). The idea to switch the sounds with
an empty slot is genious!!!! And: One empty slot could switch all remaining 11
cards!!!!
There is one man on earth who can work this out in
seconds: Thierry EPPHERRE from france.

Must be exhausting for the
Powersupply 4 eproms to feed , if 12 modules in the brain. ^^

It was a Simmons Group Centre (Simmons USA) product designed to extend the
life of the SDS7. The drag about the 2085 card is that you give up Resonance
control as that parameter now controls which eprom you're accessing.
