I don't know either, but I like the idea. On a side note; a friend of
mine has a HEAVILY modified Oberheim DMX with rotare switches on top so
that each channel has eight different sounds to choose from, many of
them copies of Linn and Simmons units. Apparently modified back in the
days so there were many third parties doing mods like that.
On the other hand, who here was it that experimented with external prom
image handling on computer? Was it you? I like that idea too, if it's
managable. (Though I personally tend to tweak the analogue part the most.)
