Be careful when reading the schematics. Although the SDS8 channels are laid out vertically on the PCB, there are certain IC's which are "shared" between channels and the schematic doesn't show that.
You're right about the shared noise source
I've repaired a couple of these in the last 2 years or so. Lovely circuit design with clever switching between factory and user settings.
