now that my sds9 has found its way back into my heart i'm wondering what kind of modifications could be done to it. so i'm looking for a schematic, i found the datasheets for the filter chips and i can definitely see some possibilities there.(resonance pots for the toms for example)

another interesting possibility is adding a footpedal to switch from rim prom A to rim prom B so i could use them as a hihat.

annother mod that i'm interested in is patching the rom so that i can control the filter instead of the pitch via control changes, code wise it's probably beyond me though. unless i get lucky.

i'm also very interested to see how the bass drum works. it'd be great to increase the decay somehow. i've seen other mods for analog drum machines like this, definatly worth investigating.

without a schematic it's going to be a lot of work just to see if its possible to do any of these.

i'm aware that Thierry EPPHERRE made an accurate sds9 schematic with a multimeter and a lot of patience. are you stlll around Thierry?
the list archive also tells of an official simmons sds9 schematic that has some errors.
