Hi Alan ,
thanks for the update.
As I said before, having new old stock FSRs, is it worthwhile for me...?

that would be more accurate to compare new FSR with New Old ones instead of Old tired ones as it will be necessary better.
That's the fair A/B test I would expect.
That's anyway really good news  that an order is now possible thanks to your work & dedication.

I'd like to test some but really wonder if it's worth the investment for me, having already some new ones.
Till now, the one I replaced, even set with the all black part, were just perfectly responding. but again my sensation was in comparison of an old dying one...or some, set for years & still apparently working.
It's a bit like driving a car with old Schock absorbers. you gradually don't really feel the damage till you have to replace it & drive with new ones.

Let us know how many people are interested so we know how many could change the rate. If we could all push a bit for it, maybe the price could really go down as it should...
Obviously at about150$ each,  it's more difficult to give it a go just by curiosity.
only people with dead pads & without access to NOS FSRs, will be interested.  That's reducing the market badly.

Let us know mate.
Big thanks for your work !
Patrice.

Hi all.....

After having been tested for a few months by myself a few others, the new FSRs deliver a much smoother and consistent 0-127 velocity response, responding to the slightest of touch, and much more consistent zone and force response. This is all likely due to the new resistor design & better materials than what was available in 1987. The new FSRs were tested on 4 different SDXs and at various SENS and CURVE settings. Again, these are a COMPLETE and fully assembled FSR, not just the foil OR resistor.... it's BOTH in a nicely sealed unit with a peel and stick backing that holds the FSR in place, flat, and without tape or glue. There's pics of them in the Photos folder above.

Just in time as Christmas gifts (to yourself lol)..... I am taking orders for production units. Brand new FSRs made in 2014 and free of any oxide buildup or dry-up. MMMM.....

The factory has given me a lead time of 4 to 5 weeks delivery from time of order,
and the price per unit breakdown is as follows (in CDN dollars):

Qty   Cost per unit

25     187.00

50     114.00

100     73.00

250     44.00

As you can see, an order of at at least 100 or even 250 will yield the best cost per unit...

Please post here the total required so we all have an idea what the final order qty might be, and then I can proceed.

Cheers

Alan
