The Rack Mount Brackets I'm having made up are in fact triangular in shape.. they are about 11.5 inches deep and the bottom of each has a flange "shelf" that supports the entire case depth. (I've uploaded a SIDE VIEW PDF in the "Files" section.)

Once they arrive, I will test them by racking a fully carded SDS7 (ensuring that there is another racked device under it and place shims in between if necessary to prevent the SDS7 case front from sagging) and take it out on the road. Note also that I affixed a thin strip of Anti-static Foam along the length of the front detachable panel to help prevent the Cards from moving forward and out of their slots. Simmons did this with the RAM and CPU Cards behind the Selector Panel. The foam is held in place with double sided tape.

With all of this, there should be little or no Card or CPU/RAM Card movement. In addition, the SDS7 is being racked in a Shock Mount FX Rack (essentially a 19" rack built inside a wider and padded Rack).. and I'll have Richard's Memory Cart on hand just in case....
