Wow! I guess that must make it one of the rarest Musicaid/Simmons
devices around.
I really must upload some tracks I've been working on with my Clap Trap.
I've been triggering it from the programmable accent output of my Boss
DR-55, which is how I think The Cure often used it. If your not familiar
with them, then the so called "Langham Session" that they recorded in
1980 are well worth checking out. Drummer Lol Tolhurst doesn't seem to
have been present, perhaps dealing with the consequences of his mother's
illness and subsequent death that happened around this time, so it
appears that Robert Smith and Simon Gallup recorded the session as a
duo. The songs were then rerecorded for my favourite Cure album, Faith,
where the Clap Trap is still in evidence on a number of tracks.

with the rest of their equipment during their first tour of the United
States. I suspect the Clap Trap is responsible for the snare sound on
Decades, my favourite track from Joy Division's Closer album.
