Check R 21 and R 20 on the expansion board, the level is set there. To rise R 20 value to 1M or simply cut it away should do the trick.

awesome thanks for the info. i was able to get it to sync if i ran the sequencer clock from the Garfield DR Click into the preamp of the 2600 for a little added gain before the SDS 6 input.

I was looking at the scheme and it wouldn't be simple to change the input of the SDS 6 so i might make a little box that just cranks the voltage / current a little before it.  than it could be slaved to anything really.

Hi,

I was able to sync the SDS6 to a TR606 (tom) trigger output, it seems to have enough juice to drive the SDS6 even though the voltages are theoretically wrong. The SDS6 sync inputs (tape and trigger) are very fussy, I think they need a bit of current drive rather than just a certain voltage level. Always reminded me of 80's computers with cassette loading where you spent ages trying to get the level just right.

My sync chain was DAW midi out -> x0xb0x midi in, x0xb0x din sync out -> TR606 sync24 in, TR606 tom trigger out -> SDS6 trigger in.

This generally worked quite well and even allowed me to apply swing to the SDS6 using the x0xb0x swing function.

Cheers, vout
