Hi Thomas,
Well it should work fine. The MtM is a hell to program , depends what you wanna do.
I used mine just to trigg easily & basically sdsV, 7 ,III IV & whatever don't have Midi & it does the job very well.
I still didn't manage to make work fine the hihat...but some fellows did it !
Sorry I don't have any tips, as I never remember how I set things previously from a week to another sometimes. MtM is a beast but you need to dig into it (via the manual) to fully understand different access to different functions.
For me it's really a pain... so I'm happy with basic functions (midi notes , dynamics) & have no will for Bruford chordal drum stuff. Even if I love when HE does it ...
Good luck !
Patrice.

Objet: [Simmons Drums] MTM & SDSV via MIDI
Hello all!
Long time lurker, and seldom poster here...
I have been searching through the old postings, but I haven't been able to find any good answers so far. What I am trying to do, is trigger an SDSV via MIDI, utilizing an MTM. I have been reading through the manual, and I can see that the default notes to play with on the MIDI side are C4 E4 G4 B4 C5 E5 G5 B5. I am really only concerned with the 4th octave notes, since the SDSV currently only has 4 modules installed. I took the 3rd TOM out and placed it in the SDSV I use for "live" playing. ( Incidentally, the unit I want to trigger via MIDI is serial #284, which I am led to believe was once owned and used by Michael Dawe, drummer for Robert Palmer, just in case anyone was interested. )
Does anyone have experience with triggering in this manner, and if so, do they have any tips that I can use to program the MTM in a quick and easy fashion? Anything helps really. The manual doesn't seem to cover what I am specifically attempting to do, but I may be overlooking it...
Thanks in advance!
Thomas
