landscape were a jazz band and in a pop sense were one hit wonders
there follow up single featured a trombone solo that all i remebers and it bombed
they were also fameous for the lyricon i belive it was called - the first midi based wind instrument
the kit was a one off and i recall simmons literature at the time as i was working in a music shop in the drum dept that had a sdsv on the cover and the landscape kit on the back along with info to the effect that any shape any size only your imagination
well of course being drummers no one took up the offer being such a staid bunch sat at the back
in the end they vanished
howard jones also used a sdx
dead or alive also had pads on the totp appearence although pete burns (who now appears to have gone all the way with gender reassign ) seemed to be centre of attention with eyepatch and all

I think I mentioned the monster one-of-a-kind Simmons pads used by Landscape
in the video to "Einstein a go-go"? Looked like giant troll heads...
I wonder what became of them...
