Dear fellow Simmons users,

i have an SDSV brain case bought from new back in 1984 when I got my SDSV kit. I added an SDS7 kit to my SDSV thereafter but never got round to buying a second Simmons case to house my SDS7 brain during transport. I dont like rack mounting my SDSV and SDS7 brains as it makes the units too heavy and unweildy to use on stage and in the studio. I have put up for years only being able to transport one of my brains in its purpose built Simmons case but now that I regularly use the SDSV and SDS7 kits together, I can put up with the transport inconvenience no longer.

I have never seen an SDSV era brain case come up for sale anywhere on the Internet. Does anyone have or know of an SDSV era brain case they would be willing to sell to me? If not, what is the material those brain, bass drum pad and tom pad cases were made of? Perhaps I could get a case made up in that material.
