The price list from 1983 is definetely referring to this one:
http://www.simmonsmuseum.com/p/pads/sds5_cymbal_white_front.jpg which is an SDSV pad. The SDSV cymbal module/pad came out in 1983 while the SDS7 cymbal pad prototype was 1986 or 1987. And yes, the SDSV cymbal pad was already "stereo" although not every cymbal module supported the separate bell trigger
