Hi all,
I've just got back from having a good look at this SDS3, it's just a couple of miles from where I live...though out of my price range I'm afraid :(
Really genuine guy selling it, owned it since 1980, been in his mother's loft for the last 20 years and he forgot he owned it !
It's in great condition, scratches on the sides and underside as you'd expect, apart from the odd scratch here and there on the metalwork and a little patch of rust it's perfect. Serial number does look like 00201, it's not faded, just difficult to read the black on silver. You can also still see the original Simmons phone number on the serial number label.
It's got Premier heads on the pads, well worn as expected, still got the Musicaid stickers on both sets of pads. DIN and phono plugs are present on the pads.
One of the white covers missing off the "Overall Pitch" slider but everything else is there.
Oh yeah, and it all works !!!
I have no connection with the guy selling it, just happy to have seen one of these and pass on my (impartial) thoughts.
Private message me if you want a copy of any of the photos I took.
Phil.
