Subject: SDS-IV is in da houze

From: "jesper" <jesper@...>

Hi list!

SDS-IV has arrived. A quite battered unit and one oscillator (channel 1) is
dead...
It came with the original pads (premier), stand and a case that looks like
it might be an original roadcase from the late 70's.

For those who own one (Phil!, any other?) - do you have a case with your?
Serial number? Mine starts with 41 or so and I wonder if all numbers does
that...

The circuit board is marked 1979 and most components are from early 1979 or
late 1978. 25 years, time flys!

Now I'll try to find one of those collars with an arrow
http://www.helmet.de/simmons/sds4.htm to complete the look and a future may
see a refurbished woodwork, but priority one is the oscillator.

It just seems to contain standard components and I think you could clone it
at a modest cost. I payed 82 pounds + shipping so I'm happy!

In the same deal came an Ultimate Percussion, but I haven't had any luck
getting any sounds out of it yet...
