Single modules are seldom for sale. But the toms are the most common and
cymbals and hihats rare as hens teeth (or close to it).
If someone is crazy enough I bet you need a handful (5?) of toms to
trade for one of the others.

Yes, you can. A few people on the list have. As far as I've understood
it's identical apart from the fact that the faceplate still have the tom
writings obviously. Hang in here and I'll bet the brains behind it can
tell more. I have a fully loaded SDS-V so I haven't digged further.
From what I've understood you'll get the first version of the HH/C with
analogue noise and not the later with digital noise.
