Michael,
Thanks for bothering to answer my stupid question!
Hmmm yeh thats what it said in my manual, which means I didnt explain MY misunderstanding very well..
so taking a single lead from the pad to the brain, and assuming 3 cores...
is it parrallel wired 1
pad end pin1 to brain end pin1
pad end pin2 to brain end pin2
pad end pin3 to brain end pin3
pad end pin 1 +3 both linked
brain end pin 1+3 both linked

or is it parrallel wired 2
pad end pin1 to brain end pin1
pad end pin2 to brain end pin2
pad end pin3 to brain end pin3
pad end 1 + 2 both linked
brain end 1 +2 both linked

or is it cross wired 3
pad end pin 1 to brain end pin 1
pad end pin 2 to brain end pin3
pad end pin 3 to brain end pin2
pad end pin 1+2 both linked
brain end pin 1+3 both linked

or is it cross wired 4
pad end pin 1 to brain end pin 1
pad end pin 2 to brain end pin3
pad end pin 3 to brain end pin2
pad end pin 1+3 both linked
brain end pin 1+2 both linked

whilst 3 +4 are not much different id like to get it right.

i.e What my reading of the manual meant to me is that the output wiring stated in the manual is the wiring in the pad end plug (the pad output)and the input wiring is the other end of the same cable plug wiring into the brain(the brain input).

Im sure its me misunderstanding what is written, why oh why didnt they just put a cable diagram in the manual!!!?

Anyhow what Im intending doing is to use mic extension leads and mod the ends as these have xlrmale to female already, and i have a number of these available at no cost.what do you reckon will a mic cable be man enough? after all the voltages have to be minimal!

Anyhow again thanks for bothering to answer, and apologies if my stupidity is making you tear your hair out
Regards
Pete
