1289 here if I recall correct. I _think_ they started below 1000, but
I'm not positive. Wolfgang knows best I guess. :)

The net is filled with info about synthesizer production runs and most
of them are wrong IMHO. Many companies started at 1000, some made
different versions with new serials, other missed marking some etc.

Regarding the SDS-1000: You must start seeing it as a "feature" and not
a flaw! ;)
