Please read the group description:
"This is a forum for users of the original Simmons electronic drums,
made in the UK in the 70's, 80's and 90's. It's for sharing information,
tips, tricks etc. Since info on Simmons drums is extremely limited,
let's make this the most informative place on the Web!
However, this list is _NOT_ for the digital drums named Simmons and
marketed in the US by Guitar Center and sold in Europe by Thomann and
others. If you own a SDHB2, SD5-K or SD7-K drum set or similar, please
read this;
- You've been fooled by Guitar Center who sell cheap China made sets
under the Simmons name. They bought the rights for the name but the
products they offer have nothing to do with the high-end drum equipment
produced during the 70's, 80's and 90's by british firm Simmons.
This mailing list is dedicated to the real thing and noone here is
interested in discussing these cheap excuses for drum sets that GC
offer. If it doesn't work - please return it to GC and demand your money
back. I sure hope your warranty is still valid.
If you're interested in what we talk about and enjoy on this list, feel
free to hang around, join in the discussions and learn about the
legendary drum systems of the past. -"
I'll put you under watch from now on. But since I'm such a cheerful chap
I won't throw you out on the double. :)

Is someone having a working kick unit without the pad that I could buy cheaper. We have this Chinese "Simmons SD5K drum set. The drum is utilized in the church for young people Mass and operated by an excited drummer. I am the director of the Music Ministry just trying to help to make the drum set functional. I aapreciate your gracious input.
